Out and About for Folk with Disabilities

Saturday, April 16, 2016

G.U. Lions provide an outing once a month for three mature people with disabilities.   An opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and have a good catch up.   These outings are planned for a Saturday, usually include a picnic as mobility is difficult for them.    A picnic with a difference in that games and activities appropriate to their skills along with a tasty lunch and on the way home a stop off at Macers for an ice cream always puts the finishing touch to a lovely day out.

This group travelled to Cleveland Point on 19th March. A trip to Cleveland Point for morning tea and a fish and chip lunch followed by a visit to Capalaba Hay and Feed where a special animal day was being held.  Also included a delicious ice cream before heading back home.

On 16TH April,  the group travelled to Broadwater Park, Mansfield.
